From the Lensmate team

Coloured contact lenses, all in one place

This is our whole range. Every pair of coloured contact lenses we sell, from soft natural browns you could wear to work to blind white sclera lenses that'll scare your nan. We're a small UK team, and we started Lensmate because we love wearing coloured lenses ourselves. Most of us have a natural pair for everyday, something bold for nights out and far too many cosplay pairs.

All our coloured contacts are non prescription, CE certified and 1 year wear when you look after them. Every single pair is £12.99, and you can mix any 2 pairs for £22.99 or 3 for £31.99. No complicated pricing, no premium range. Just pick the colour you love.

Natural coloured contacts for everyday

If you want people to wonder whether it's your real eye colour, start here. Our natural lenses are mostly 14.2mm, close to the size of a real iris, so they look like your own eyes rather than doll eyes.

Profound Blue Contact Lenses are our bestseller, a natural but intense blue with loads of pigment. New York Blue Contact Lenses are a brighter light blue that people love for a big change. For greens, Emerald Green and Meadow Green are both lovely. Steel Grey and Luster Grey are our favourite greys, and for a warm, sunny look, Amber Contact Lenses and Golden Hazel are always popular. Want a subtle brown? Natural Brown and Gentle Brown give you a soft lift without anyone noticing anything but your eyes looking brighter.

Coloured contact lenses for dark eyes

This is the question we get asked most. Will it show on brown eyes? The honest answer is it depends on the lens. Lighter, enhancing lenses blend with your own colour, so on dark eyes they barely show. Opaque lenses with plenty of pigment sit over your natural colour, so they actually change it.

We've marked loads of our lenses as suitable for dark eyes, and there's a whole page of them. Bora Bora Blue, Atlantic Blue, Profound Green, Profound Grey and Dreamy Purple are a few we'd happily recommend to anyone with dark brown eyes. On very dark eyes, blue tends to look bright in daylight and a bit greyer indoors, which is completely normal.

Skin tone plays a part too. Warm shades like amber, hazel and honey brown look gorgeous on medium and tanned skin, while cool greys and icy blues tend to suit fairer skin. There are no hard rules though. Wear whatever makes you happy when you catch yourself in the mirror.

Halloween and special effect lenses

Then there's the fun stuff. Our Halloween contact lenses cover every kind of creepy. White Manson and Zombie Contact Lenses for the undead, Block Red for vampires, Yellow Cat Eye for creatures, Black Round for a demonic, all dark stare. Spider's Web and Crack White are great if you want detail people only spot up close.

We also do sclera, blackout and mesh lenses, like Black Sclera and Blind White Sclera. These look amazing, but they have no clear pupil and block or blur your vision. We'd only wear them for photos and posing, never for driving, stairs or wandering round a busy party.

Cosplay and anime contacts

Cosplay is a big part of what we do. We've got character lenses for Naruto, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Genshin Impact, Oshi No Ko and more, from Kakashi Hatake Sharingan and Satoru Gojo to Nezuko, Hu Tao and Ruby Hoshino. If we don't have a named lens for your character, there's usually a colour that matches, so have a look at the colour pages too. Lots of our cosplay lenses are 14.5mm, which gives a slightly bigger, more anime look.

Are coloured contact lenses safe?

Yes, when you buy them from a proper seller and look after them. Our lenses are CE certified. The rest is down to good habits, and these are the ones we stick to ourselves:

  • Wash and dry your hands before touching your lenses.
  • Rub and rinse them in fresh solution every time, never tap water.
  • Store them in a clean case with fresh solution, not yesterday's.
  • Never sleep in them, and never share them.
  • Take them out straight away if they sting, itch or feel wrong.

If you have any eye problems, it's worth a chat with an optician before you start. And if you're new to lenses, don't panic if the first go takes a while. It gets much easier after a few tries.

Why buy coloured contacts from us

We keep it simple. Every pair is £12.99, which makes us one of the cheaper places to buy coloured contact lenses online in the UK without going for something dodgy. Any 2 pairs are £22.99, so two colours works out at £11 each.

Our lenses are yearly, reusable lenses, so one pair lasts up to 12 months with proper care. That's a lot of wear for the price. Order before 2pm on a working day and it goes out the same day with next day delivery by Royal Mail, and there's a paid Saturday delivery option too. You can pay later with Klarna, there's a 30 day refund policy, and every order comes with free sweeties, because why not.

While you're here, you'll need a case and solution if you don't already have them. Our solution is £4.99, and we've got cases from £1.99, including some very cute ones. Happy browsing, and if you're stuck choosing, start with your eye colour and work from there.

All Contact Lenses FAQs

Are coloured contact lenses safe?
Coloured contact lenses are safe when you buy them from a proper seller and look after them. Ours are CE certified. Wash and dry your hands, use fresh solution every time, keep them in a clean case, never sleep in them and never share them. If you have eye problems, check with an optician first.
Do I need a prescription for coloured contact lenses in the UK?
Not for ours. They're non prescription (plano), which means they have no power and won't change your eyesight, so you can buy them without a prescription. If you wear glasses, you'll still need them to see clearly.
How long do your coloured contact lenses last?
Our lenses are yearly, reusable lenses. One pair lasts up to 12 months as long as you clean them after every wear and store them in fresh solution. Replace them sooner if a lens gets torn, scratched or feels uncomfortable.
Which coloured contacts show up best on brown eyes?
Go for opaque lenses with plenty of pigment. Profound Blue, Bora Bora Blue, Atlantic Blue, Profound Green, Profound Grey and Dreamy Purple all show clearly on brown eyes. Have a look at our coloured contact lenses for dark eyes page for the full list.
What are the most natural looking coloured contact lenses?
Lenses around 14.2mm with a soft pattern look the most natural, because they match the size of a real iris. Topaz, Emerald Green and Gentle Brown are good examples, as they have no heavy outer ring.
How much are coloured contact lenses?
Every pair we sell is £12.99, and that's for both lenses. Any 2 pairs are £22.99, and you can mix and match colours. You can also pay later with Klarna if you'd rather spread it out.
Do you offer next day delivery on coloured contacts?
Yes. Order before 2pm on a working day and we send it the same day with next day delivery by Royal Mail. There's a paid Saturday delivery option too, which is handy before Halloween or a con.
Can you see properly through coloured contact lenses?
With most of them, yes. Lenses with a clear pupil don't block your vision, though you might notice a faint tint at the edges in dim light. Sclera, blackout and blind lenses with no clear pupil do block or blur your vision, so keep those for photos.
Do coloured contact lenses hurt?
They shouldn't. Most people feel them for a minute, then forget they're there. If a lens stings, it might be inside out or have something on it. Take it out, rinse it in fresh solution and try again. If it still hurts, leave them out.
Can I wear coloured contacts over my normal contact lenses?
No, never wear two lenses on top of each other. It cuts the oxygen to your eye and can cause real problems. If you need vision correction, wear your glasses with our coloured lenses or chat to an optician about prescription options.
