Quartz is the grey we'd wear with a smart coat and a neutral lip. It's a soft, polished grey with a slightly stony feel to it, not icy and not silver, just quietly classy.

At 14.2mm it sits close to the size of a natural iris, so the change looks believable rather than doll-like. That's what we like about it for work, weddings or a meal out, when you want people to notice your eyes without quite working out why. The 38% water content is a standard, comfy level for wearing through the day.

On lighter eyes the grey reads clean and bright. On darker eyes it comes across softer and smokier, a bit like a grey-taupe, so it's worth knowing that before you order.
