Steel Grey Contact Lenses

Steel Grey is the lens we wear when we want a change that people notice but can't quite put their finger on. It's a simple, grown up grey that works with pretty much any outfit, and it's one of the easiest ways to try coloured contact lenses if you're a bit nervous.

They're 14.2mm, so they look natural rather than doll-like, and the colour is opaque enough to cover dark eyes. On brown eyes they come out a soft, cool grey. Indoors they lean darker and steelier, while in daylight they look lighter and a bit silvery. The 40% water content is our standard comfy level for all-day wear.

We'd happily wear these to the office, to a wedding, or out for dinner. Grey contacts go with black, navy, burgundy and pretty much anything else in your wardrobe.

Wearing them day to day

• A bit of black or charcoal liner makes the grey look crisper.
• Great first pair if you've never worn coloured lenses before.
• Rub and rinse in fresh solution after each wear, never tap water.
• If you've got any eye problems, have a quick chat with an optician first.
