Quintessential Quintuplets contact lenses for the Nakano sisters

The Quintessential Quintuplets is a brilliant group cosplay. Five sisters, five personalities, one face. The thing that ties Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba and Itsuki together is their eyes. All five have the same bright blue eyes, so if your group wants to look like actual quintuplets, matching lenses go a long way.

We don't have dedicated Quintuplets lenses on this page right now, so here's what we'd pick from our blue range instead. It's the same advice we'd give a friend.

Which blue contacts match the Quintuplets

For that clear, light anime blue, New York Blue Contact Lenses are our first choice. They're a bright light blue with enough colour to change brown eyes. Profound Blue Contact Lenses are a touch deeper and very pigmented, and they're our bestseller for a reason. If some of your group have very dark eyes, Bora Bora Blue Contact Lenses and Atlantic Blue Contact Lenses both cover dark eyes nicely.

Our tip for a group: everyone wears the same lens. Even if one of you has naturally blue eyes, a matching pair keeps the colour consistent in photos, and that's what sells the quintuplets look.

Making a group cosplay affordable

Every pair is £12.99, and any 2 pairs are £22.99. For five people that's two lots of 2 for £22.99 plus one single pair, so you're well under £60 for the whole family. Order before 2pm on a working day and it goes out the same day with next day delivery, handy if the con is this weekend.

First time wearing coloured lenses?

Group cosplays often mean at least one person who's never worn lenses before. Get everyone to have a practice at home a few days before the con, not in the hotel bathroom ten minutes before you leave. Wash and dry your hands, put the lens on the tip of your finger, check it's a nice bowl shape and not inside out, then look up and place it on the white of your eye. Blink gently and it settles.

It usually takes a few goes. That's completely normal, and by the third try most people have it sorted.

Styling the five sisters

The eyes stay the same, so the wigs and accessories do the talking. Ichika's short pink hair, Nino's butterfly ribbons, Miku's headphones, Yotsuba's green ribbon and Itsuki's star clips. Keep the eye makeup simple and bright with a bit of white liner on the waterline to make blue lenses look bigger and more anime.

Look after your lenses. Wash your hands, use fresh solution, keep a clean case each and never share lenses within the group, even if you're all wearing the same colour. Remove before sleeping.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Contact Lenses FAQs

What colour are the Quintessential Quintuplets' eyes?
All five Nakano sisters, Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba and Itsuki, have blue eyes in the anime. It's one of the things that makes them look like real quintuplets even with different hair and styles. A clear, light blue lens is the closest match for a cosplay.
Which contact lenses are best for a Nakano sisters cosplay?
We'd go for New York Blue for a bright light blue, or Profound Blue for a slightly deeper shade with loads of pigment. If anyone in your group has very dark brown eyes, Bora Bora Blue or Atlantic Blue cover dark eyes nicely. Matching lenses across the group looks best.
Do you sell Quintessential Quintuplets character lenses?
Not as a named set right now. The sisters all share the same blue eyes, though, so our blue range does the job really well. We add new character lenses when we find good designs, so it's worth checking back.
Can blue contacts cover brown eyes for a Quintuplets cosplay?
Yes, if you pick a well pigmented pair. New York Blue, Profound Blue, Bora Bora Blue and Atlantic Blue all show up on brown eyes. On very dark eyes the blue looks brighter in daylight and slightly greyer indoors, which is normal.
Can my whole cosplay group share one set of lenses?
Please don't. Sharing contact lenses can pass on eye infections, even between close friends. Everyone needs their own pair and their own case. With our 2 for £22.99 deal, kitting out all five sisters still works out cheap.
Are cosplay contact lenses safe?
Ours are CE certified and safe when you look after them properly. Wash and dry your hands, use fresh solution every time, store them in a clean case and never sleep in them. If your eyes sting or go red, take them out. Anyone with eye problems should check with an optician first.
How long can I wear blue contacts at a convention?
We'd keep it to about 8 hours. Convention halls can be dry, so bring your case, solution and a little mirror. If your eyes feel tired, take the lenses out for a while. Never nap in them between events.
How much would lenses for all five quintuplets cost?
Each pair is £12.99 and any 2 pairs are £22.99. For five people that's two lots of 2 for £22.99 plus one single pair, which comes to £56.99 for the whole group. Orders before 2pm on a working day go out the same day.
Do I need a prescription for blue cosplay contacts?
No. Our lenses are plano, which means they have no power and don't change your eyesight, so you don't need a prescription to buy them in the UK. If you wear glasses, you'll still need those for seeing clearly.
How long do the lenses last?
Our blue lenses are 1 year wear, so the same pair will see you through every Quintuplets meet up, shoot and con for a year. Clean them after each wear and store them in fresh solution. Swap them out sooner if one gets damaged.
