Zombie Contact Lenses

Every October at least one of us ends up as a zombie, and these are the lenses we grab. They're white contact lenses with a washed-out, lifeless look that makes a zombie costume feel finished, rather than just a bit of fake blood and a ripped shirt.

You can take them two ways. Go full horror with grey face paint and gore, or keep the rest of your makeup glam (dark lip, sharp liner) and let the eyes do the creepy bit. Both work really well. At 14.5mm they cover a touch more of the eye than a natural lens, which helps the white read clearly in photos, and the 42% water content keeps them feeling soft.

They live in our Halloween and Day of the Dead collections and get borrowed for cosplay too, so they earn their keep if you dress up more than once a year. Our Zombie Contact Lenses are £12.99 a pair, or mix any 2 pairs for £22.99 or 3 for £31.99.

How we'd wear them

• Pop them in before your makeup so you're not smudging anything while you fiddle about.
• White looks strongest under camera flash, so they're great for party photos.
• Give them a test run at home first and don't drive in them. Bold Halloween lenses aren't for the car.
• Rub and rinse in fresh solution afterwards and keep them in a clean case. Looked after properly, they last a year.

Order before 2pm on a working day and they go out the same day, so these can still make it for a last-minute party.
