Blossom Blue Contact Lenses

I wore Blossom Blue to a friend's wedding last summer and spent half the reception being asked if my eyes had always been that colour. That's the thing with these. They're blue, definitely blue, but in a natural way that makes people look twice rather than stare.

The pattern is soft with a gentle blend towards the middle, and there's enough pigment to cover brown eyes properly. On my dark brown eyes they look like a calm, deep blue in daylight. Under warm indoor lights they lean a bit greyer, which is lovely in photos.

They're 14.2mm, so they sit right where your own iris does. Nothing doll-like here, just a believable change.

A few tips from us

• These blue contact lenses cover dark eyes, so you don't need light eyes to get the effect.
• Keep the rest of your make-up warm and neutral. A bit of brown liner really lifts the blue.
• Wash and dry your hands before you touch them, and store them in fresh solution every time.
• Take them out before bed. If they ever sting or feel wrong, take them out and give your eyes a rest.
