Think of an emerald held up to the light. Gemstone Green is a pure green with that same clear, jewel-like quality, and it's one of the prettiest greens we stock.

The coverage is natural, so it blends with your own eye rather than sitting on top like paint. That means it looks clean and believable, especially on lighter eyes. At 14.5mm it opens the eye up a little, and the 40% water content is our standard comfy level. Outdoors the green really sparkles, and indoors it goes a little deeper.

These green contact lenses are great for everyday wear, weddings, nights out, and St Patrick's Day if you fancy it. I'd go for warm, copper toned makeup to make the green stand out.

How we'd wear them

• Plum or burgundy eyeshadow makes the green look even richer.
• Works best on lighter eyes. On dark brown eyes it'll look softer.
• Rub and rinse in fresh solution, never tap water, and use a clean case.
• Remove before sleeping, and take them out if they ever feel uncomfortable.
