Green is the colour we get asked about more than any other, and we get why. Real green eyes are pretty rare, so a good pair of green contact lenses gets noticed in a nice way. People tend to say something like your eyes look really bright today, rather than are those contacts.

Natural green contact lenses for everyday

If you want a green that looks like it could be yours, start with Natural Green, Woodland Green, Emerald Green or Meadow Green. Meadow Green is darker round the outside and lighter in the middle, which gives that real eye look with a bit of depth. Emerald Green has no dark outer ring, so it's softer and less obvious. Most of these are 14.2mm, so they sit close to the size of your own iris and look natural rather than doll like.

Daisy Green, Blossom Green, Glacier Green and Paradise Green are lovely lighter greens too. Glacier Green is a warmer green with 42% water content, so it feels a bit softer on longer days.

Green contacts for brown and dark eyes

This is where a lot of lenses fall down, as the colour just vanishes on very dark brown eyes. Profound Green, Tulip Green, Meteor Green, Norway Green, Bora Bora Green and Green Haze Eyes all have enough pigment to cover dark eyes properly. On dark brown eyes, we find they look brighter in daylight and a touch deeper indoors, which is actually quite nice. Green Haze Eyes is a bright green with a darker edge, so it pops without looking flat.

Aurora Blue sits in this range too. It's a blue and green mix, a bit like the northern lights, and it's a good one if you can't decide between the two.

A little brown or plum liner makes green look greener. Purple and bronze shadows are great with it too, and so is a warm blush. Black liner works, but go easy or it can make lighter greens look darker. On fair skin, softer greens like Blossom Green look really fresh. On deeper skin tones, brighter greens like Paradise Green or Green Haze Eyes really stand out.
