From the Lensmate team

Cosplay contact lenses for every fandom

We've been to more cons than we can count, and the eyes are always the bit that sells a cosplay. You can have the perfect wig and a costume you've spent months on, but brown eyes on a character with bright blue ones just looks a bit off in photos. Pop the right cosplay contact lenses in and it all clicks.

This is our biggest collection, with over a hundred pairs. Character lenses are named after who they're for, and there's loads of general colours and effects for original characters and anyone we haven't got a named pair for yet.

Anime cosplay contacts

Naruto is the one we get asked about most. Kakashi Hatake Sharingan, Itachi Uchiha Mangekyō Sharingan, Sasuke Uchiha Purple Rinnegan and Naruto Uzumaki are all in here. For Jujutsu Kaisen, Satoru Gojo Contact Lenses are a bright Six Eyes blue, with an icy Snow version, plus Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki.

Demon Slayer has a whole range, from Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko to Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguro, whose pair has one yellow and one turquoise lens. You'll also find Ai, Ruby and Aquamarine Hoshino from Oshi No Ko, Marin Kitagawa from My Dress Up Darling, Tohru from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Mikasa Ackerman, Yumeko Jabami, Yuki Cross, Makima and Titan from Takt Op. Destiny.

Game, film and TV cosplay lenses

Genshin Impact fans can pick from Keqing, Hu Tao, Yae Miko, Barbara, Bennett and Baizhu. There's Purah from Zelda, Aurora from League of Legends and Hatsune Miku's teal eyes too. Away from anime, we've got Harley Quinn, Pennywise, the Sith lenses for Darth Maul, Twilight Bella for a Cullen and Blue Godzilla.

Colours and effects for original characters

If you're doing an OC, a lesser known character or just want a bold colour, have a look at Anime Blue (two blues with gold flecks), Anime Red, Candyfloss Pink, Purple Sky with little white stars, Black and Gold, Star Burst or Over The Rainbow. Plain bright shades like Cosplay Green, Vivid Green and Hot Pink work for loads of characters.

Can you see in cosplay lenses?

Most of our cosplay contacts have a clear pupil, so you can see normally. A handful don't. Madara Uchiha, the Daki, Doma and Akaza sclera designs, Kyōjurō Rengoku, Black Sclera and Blind White Sclera all cover the pupil and block your vision. Mesh designs let you see through a fine pattern, but things look hazy. Keep these for photoshoots, not walking round a busy convention hall.

Our convention tips

  • Put lenses in at home or the hotel with clean hands, not in a venue toilet.
  • 14.2mm lenses look closer to real eyes, and 14.5mm gives a slightly bigger, more anime iris.
  • A thin line of liner along the lash line makes the colour show up in photos.
  • Pack a case, a little bottle of solution and your glasses in your con bag.

Care and prices

Most of our cosplay contact lenses are 1 year wear when you clean and store them properly, so one pair sees you through plenty of cons. Rub and rinse in fresh solution, never use tap water, and never sleep in them or share them, even for a group cosplay. Every pair is £12.99, or any 2 for £22.99 or 3 for £31.99, which is handy for odd eye characters.

Cosplay Contact Lenses FAQs

Are cosplay contacts safe?
They're safe when you buy CE certified lenses from a proper seller and look after them. Wash your hands first, use fresh solution every time, never tap water, and never sleep in them or share them. Take them out if they sting. If you've got eye problems, chat to an optician first.
Where can I buy cosplay contact lenses in the UK?
Right here. We're a small UK shop, so there's no waiting weeks for a parcel from abroad. Order before 2pm on a working day and it goes out the same day with Royal Mail next day delivery. Every pair is £12.99, or any 2 for £22.99 or 3 for £31.99.
Can you see properly in cosplay contacts?
With most of them, yes, as they have a clear pupil. Sclera and blind style designs like Madara Uchiha, Daki, Akaza and Blind White Sclera cover the pupil and block your vision. Mesh lenses let you see through, but it's hazy. Keep those for photos.
How long can you wear cosplay contacts in a day?
It depends on your eyes, so go easy at first, especially if you're new to lenses. Give your eyes a break during the day if you can. Con halls are dry and warm, so take them out if they feel scratchy or sore, and always before you sleep.
Do cosplay contacts work on dark brown eyes?
Most do, as they're opaque and cover your natural colour. Bright and patterned designs like Sharingan show up really well. Lighter shades can look a little deeper indoors, so a lens with a bold outer ring gives the cleanest result on very dark eyes.
How do I do heterochromia or odd eye cosplay?
Buy two different pairs and wear one lens from each. Our 2 for £22.99 offer makes this cheaper. Obanai Iguro is the exception, as his pair already comes with one yellow and one turquoise lens. Keep spare lenses labelled so you don't mix them up.
What size cosplay contacts look most anime?
Our 14.5mm lenses give a slightly bigger, bolder iris that reads more anime in photos. 14.2mm looks closer to a real eye. We don't sell huge full sclera lenses that cover the whole white of the eye.
How long do cosplay contact lenses last?
Most of our cosplay contact lenses are 1 year wear from when you first open them, as long as you clean and store them properly. Each product page has the details. Bin any lens that tears or feels uncomfortable.
Do I need a prescription for cosplay contacts?
No, ours are non-prescription (0.00 power). They won't correct your sight, and you can't wear them over normal contacts. If you usually wear glasses, take them to the con as a backup and ask your optician about your options.
Which cosplay contacts are the most popular?
Naruto lenses are the ones we get asked about most, especially Kakashi Hatake Sharingan and Itachi Uchiha Mangekyō Sharingan. Satoru Gojo is another big one, and Demon Slayer pairs like Tanjiro and Nezuko fly out around con season.
